Description

Gift with warranty from Roger, son of John de Conyngesbygh' to John de Conyngesbygh' his father of all lands and tenements in the vill of Middelton' with rents and services in the same vill, which the grantor held by the gift and feoffment of the said John; to hold for the term of his life from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service, and at the death of the said John the property to pass to John, son of the said John de Conyngesbygh', and Margaret his wife and their lawful issue to be held in the same way, or in default to pass to the rightful heirs of the said John de Cony[n]gesbygh' to hold for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Dated at Middelton' Friday after the feast of St. Gregory the Pope, 21 Edward III. Witnesses: John de Crowenest', John Molde, John Hopkyns, John Daukyn', Henry Ade and others.
