Description

Gift with warranty from William son of Robert de Holehal' to William son of Richard de Hayles, for homage and service, of two acres of land, to be ditched and enclosed, in the heath of Monekespath', lying from the corner of the ditch of Warner Hauberge next to the Portweyam, following the hedge of the land formerly held by Roger de la Hethe, as far as the messuage which the said William once bought from the said Richard his father, and following the extent of that messuage as far as the garden of the said Roger, then rising as far as the said Portweyam and following the same as far as the said corner of the ditch; to hold the same rendering annually 8 pence (2 terms) for all services save foreign service pertaining to the said land; and for this the said William gives 10 shillings. Witnesses: Robert de Folewode, William de Romeshul, Richard Goer, William Wistan, Roger Gerin, Roger de Sydehal', Roger Brun, Richard de Hayles, Thomas de Notehurst clerk, and others.
