Quitclaim with warranty from Robert Atwood of Tonworthe, John Grene of Botley, John Wheler of Tonworthe, John Waryng of the same, Simon Bellers of Alcott' and William Wheatley of Henley in Arden to Thomas Smythe of Hall ende of a croft of land in Ullenhall' in the parish of Wotton' Wawen' called Hobdyche and the meadow lying between the land leading from the gate called Botley gate to the chapel of Ullenhall' and the land of the heirs of Forste with the land of Thomas Court lying on all [other] sides, the said croft lying in length between the said lane and the land of the provost of King's College, Cambridge, and le Fordrove and in breadth between the said lane and the land of the said provost of King's College, Cambridge, and the land of Richard Archer esquire, which land the said Thomas Smythe held by the gift and feoffment of Thomas Stokes the son and heir of Roland Stookes deceased by a deed of 25 May 38 Henry VIII [1546] and reciting a fine levied at Westminster the octave of St. Michael 3 and 4 Philip and Mary [1556] between the said Robert Atwood, John Grene, John Wheler, John Waryng, Simon Bellers, William Wheatley and Thomas Smythe, plaintiffs, and Thomas Gresley, Anne his wife, Thomas James and Margaret his wife, deforciants, of 2 messuages, 160 acres of land, 60 acres of meadow and 8 acres of wood in Tanworthe, Owllnall', Henley and Bewdesert; to hold for ever.
