Lease from Dame Katherine, widow, late wife of Sir Michael Dormer knight, deceased, and Ralph Woodward of Allchurche, Worcester, yeoman, of closes called Botleys, late in the tenure of Thomas Smythe, deceased, with meadows, feedings, commons, waters, grounds, commodities and profits belonging to the same lying in Wotton' in as large and ample manner as the said Thomas Smythe lately held the same; to hold for 16 years from Michaelmas next, rendering annually £3 [2 terms]; the said Katherine to have the right of re-entry if the said rent were unpaid or in arrears one monthe beyond any of the said terms; the said Ralph to have sufficient hedgeboote for the repair and making of all the mounds and hedges on the said premises, making no waste and to grub up all thorns and briars growing yearly on the said property; the said Katherine having the right of egress and regress in the said property to cut and carry away all manner of timber.
