Description

Agreement between Katherine Whatelie of Henley in Arden, widow and administratrix of William Whateley, late of Henley, yeoman, Thomas Postans of Henley, husbandman, William Whateley of Henley, shoemaker, and Phillippa Whateley his sister, and Andrew Archer, esquire, reciting that before his death, William Whateley, now deceased, had bargained and sold, inter alia a meadow with appurtenances called Lymbseyes in Beaudesert and Wootton Wawen and had by his will devised to certain persons the sums of £36 arising form money not yet paid by Archer for the said grant, and stated that he left £4 still in Archer's hands for the benefit of William the younger and Phillippa. Dispute has been arbitrated by Thomas Spencer of Claverdon who decided that no money due form Archer. However Archer, to express good will, has paid £10 to parties which is hereby acknowledged Signed and sealed by Katherine Whatelie , Thomas Parsons, William Whatelie and Phillipp Whatelie, all by mark 4 seals of red wax on tags (one fragmentary)
