Edstone in Wootton Wawen deeds: Archer of Tanworth

Description

Gift with warranty by William Cyfrewast, brother and heir of lord Nicholas Cysrewast, deceased, to Henry de Bray of his manor in Edricheston [Edstone] in the county of Warrewik [Warwick] which descended to William by hereditary law after the death of Nicholas his brother, together with the appurtaining mill, woods, meadows, rents, pastures, rights of pasture, homage, villenages, wards, feudal dues and escheats. To hold of donor for annual rent of one clove at Christmas in quittance of all usual services to William and his heirs; Henry and heirs to render all due and usual services to the chief lords of that fee. Witnesses: lord Peter of Mont Fort [?Montford, Shropshire], John of Suchley [?Suckley, Worcestershire], Thomas de Bray, Adam of Napton, Robert of Verdun, Thomas of Farendon, Hugo of Braunceston [?Braunston, Northamptonshire], Peter of Wlwardyngton [Wolverton] and Thomas of Garshal [?Garshall Green, Staffordshire], knights; Peter le Bretun, William le Bretun, William of Nafford [Birlingham, Worcestershire] the younger, Simon of Knychtecote.
