Edstone in Wootton Wawen deeds: Archer of Tanworth

Description

Gift by Richard Archer, lord of Cherlecote [Charlecote] in the county of Warwick, Henry Archer and Henry Waryn to Richard Jon[es] of Edyston [Edstone] of all the lands, tenements, meadows, pasture-lands, pastures and all other appurtenances in the vill and lands of Edyston which they previously held by gift and feoffment of the said Richard Jon[es]. To hold of chief lords of that fee for the due service which is by right accustomed. Witnesses: John Harrewell, Thomas Archer, Roger Aylesburye, John Wykke, John Hichecokk'. Given: at Edyston [Edstone] on the Sunday before the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, 4 Henry V [13 September 1416].
