Exemplification of a common recovery between Edward Saunders esquire and John Byde esquire [purchasers] and Edward Radclyffe esquire [vendor] of two messuages, three[??] watermills, 100 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow and 200 acres of pasture with appurtenances in Wylchamsteade [Wilstead] and Kempston, Bedfordshire, and the rectories / benefices of rector of Wilstead and Kempston with appurtenances, including the advowson of the vicar ordinary of the church of Wilstead or the right and inheritance of it. Henry Earl of Sussex and David Holkell vouch for the title of Edward Radclyffe to the premises, but David Holkell stands in contempt of court and therefore seisin [i.e. possession] is recovered by Edward Saunders and John Byde, as granted to them in a writ of 30 January 1591.
