Description

Gift with warranty from Roger de Ayllesbury, knight, to Fulk de Penbrugge and Alice his wife of an annual rent of 2s 6d which he was accustomed to receive from the said Fulk for a meadow called Coupereslond extending towards Blythe in exchange for a croft lying between the land of Thomas Salemon and the grantor's land in width and extending in length from the grantor's meadow as far as the lane leading from Swannesdych' towards [the land of] Simon atte Heth', and for an annual rent of 8d which he was accustomed to pay to the said Fulk for a piece of land in Swannedichesfeld; to hold the same of the chief lord of the fee. Witnesses: Henry de Sydenhale, William Wodard, Simon del Heth', John Water, Walter de Swannesdych' and others. Dated at Wydenhay, Wednesday next after the feast of St John before the Latin Gate, 6 Edward III. Seal on tag, circular, red. On a shield a cross with a label for difference in chief.
