Description

Gift with warranty from Robert de Bentforde of Toneworth' to William in le Holyes of Solihull' and Agnes his wife of all lands and tenements which lately belonged to Thomas atte Lone on Toneworth'; to hold from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service and rendering also annually to the said grantor 2 shillings in silver [ 2 terms] the said grantor to have the right to re-enter the said property if the said rent was unpaid in part or whole 7 weeks after any of the said terms. Sealing clause. Dated at Toneworth', Saturday on the morrow of St Mark the Evangelist. 39 Edward III. Witnesses: Robert de Crowenhale, John Waryng', Richard Gower, John Page, Edmund de Middelmor and others. Circular seal of natural wax on tag, partly defaced, 1 in., within a decorated border a shield upon a fess three broad arrow heads.
