Gift with warranty from William de Coppethorn' of Berkuswelle, Henry de Lyle and John, perpetual vicar of the church of Hamptin in Ardne to John de Folewode of Toneworth', son and heir of William de Folewode of the same of all lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, feedings, woods, ponds, pits, rents, services in Toneworth' which the grantor formerly held by gift and feoffment from John de Folewode on Toneworth'; to hold from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Dated at Toneworth', Wednesday before the feast of the translation of St Wolstan, 40, Edward III. Witnesses: Thomas le Archer, Richard de Montefort', John de Croweleye, Thomas de Folewode, Richard Dolfyn and others. Broad Tag slit to take three seals: 1, Circular seal of brown wax, 1 in, on a shield three flowers with a bird on each, side flowers facing one another beneath a canopy the whole within a cusped quatrefoil with interlacing foliage.
