Description

Exhange from Henry de Sidenhale of Toneworth' to John de Fullwode of Toneworth' of 10s 1 1/2d annual rent with appurtenances in Toneworth' in exchange for lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, feedings, woods, waters and appurtenances of which the said John was enfeoffed within the close of Zeuelshawe. Of the said rents 5 s 1 1/2 d with services pertaining to the same came from tenements in Zeuelshawe, 3s from a field in Toneworth called Caldenesslade with the reversion of the said field upon the death of John Notehurst, 18d annual rent with services pertaining to the same from Walter de Romeshull', 6 d annual rent and services pertaining to the same from Simon Towe. To hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee together with reliefs and heriots in exhange as aforesaid. Warranty clause, sealing clause. Given at Toneworth', Sunday next after the feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist, 7 Richard II. Witnesses: Thomas Larcher, Thomas atte Berne, John Dolphyn, John Zeuelshaw, Thomas Notesone and others. Circular seal of red wax on tag, partially defaced, 3/4 in, on a shield a fess between 3 crescents, the whole between a cusped circular border. Legend: X Sigillum Henrici de Sidenhale.
