Description

Gift from Richard Lyndesey, chaplain, and Richard Walton', chaplain of Toneworth', to Joan, formerly wife of Henry Vlnhale of Toneworth' of a croft called Tybbecroft in Toneworth' opposite the messuage lately belonging to Simon Hondies of Toneworth' which croft the grantors held by the gift and feoffment of the said Henry Vlnehale as it was surrounded by hedges and ditches; to hold for the term of her life from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service, and upon her death the said property to pass to Robert, son of the said Henry Vlnehale, and his lawful issue, or in default of such issue to Roger son of the late Henry Vlnhale and his lawful issue or in default of such issue to John Fullewode, Thomas atte Berne, John Waryng' and Thomas Colynns of Toneworth' for ever. Dated at Toneworth', Thursday before the feast of St Michael Archangel, 10 Richard II. Witnesses: Thomas Larcher, John Dolfyn, William Derley, Simon Benford, Thomas Notesone and others. 2 Circular seals of brown wax on tag, 3/4 in., a lion rampant, and a bull's head with a cross between the horns.
