Description

Gift from John Wylmuston', vicar of the church of Maxstoke, and Thomas Lucas, vivar of the church of Alspath' to Andrew Bertram of Maxstoke and Margaret his wife of a moiety of a messuage with all houses, lands, tenements, rents, reversions, services, meadows, pastures, feedings, woods, hedges, ditches, ponds, waters, roads, paths, homages, reliefs, scutages, heriots, and esceats and rights belonging to the said moiety, which the grantor formerly held by gift and feoffment of the said Andrew and Margaret in Toneworth'; to hold for their lives from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service, with reversion to John, son of the said Andrew and Margaret, and his lawful issue or in default of such issue to the heirs of the said Margaret for ever.
