Description

Lease for the lives of lessors from Andrew Bertram and Margaret his wife to William Benford' whereby John Wilmuston', vicar of the church of Maxstoke, and Geoffery Moris of Brynkelowe having lately leased to the said Andrew and Margaret half of one messuage, 20 acres of land, one acre of wood, and 9 shillings 6 1/2 pence rent in Toneworth' to hold for the lives of the said Andrew and Margaret, the said Andrew and Margaret now leased to the said William the said moiety; to hold during the lives of the said Andrew and Margaret rendering annually 30 shillings [ 2 terms] ; the said Andrew and Margaret to have right of distraint if the said rent was unpaid or in arrears at any of the said terms and the right of re-entry if unpaid or in arrears for six months.
