Description

Defeasance between Andrew Bertram of Maxtsoke and Margaret his wife and William Benford' of Toneworth' so that, whereas the said Andrew and Margaret had leased to the said William for the term of their lives the half of one messuage, 20 acres of land, one acre of wood and 9 shillings 6 1/2 pence rent in Toneworth, rendering annually 30 shillings rent and whereas the said William was bound to the said Andrew and Margaret in the penal sum of £10, the said Andrew and Margaret agreed that if the said William paid to the said Andrew and Margaret the said 30 shillings rent in equal portions at the said feasts or within a quarter of a year after the said feasts during the lives of the said Andrew and Margaret the said bond would be declared void.
