Description

Gift with warranty from Thomas Coln', rector of the church of Solyhull' and Thomas Hulot, chaplain, to Richard Archer' of Stotfold' esquire of all lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, feedings, woods, hedges and ditches in the vill and fields of Tonworth' which the said grantors lately held jointly with John Lowthorp, now deceased, by gift and feoffment from John Waters' of Tonworth'; to hold for ever from the chielf lords of the fee for due and customary service. Dated at Tonworth', 20 February 26 Henry VI. Witnesses: John Fulwod' of Tonworth', William Benford' of the same, John Greswold' of Longdon', John Byrches of Solyhull', John Whatcroft of the same and others. 1, Octagonal seal of red wax on tag, 1/2 in., the letter T crowned. 2, Circular seal of red wax on tag, 1/2 in., a heart surrounded by three flowers within a decorated outline border.
