Copy of report of Thomas Sadler, Thomas Duboys and Edward Willy on the estate of Col. Francis Russell. The Commissioners[appointed to enquire into matters arising from the administration of Col. Francis's estate by Jonathan Langley] find that Langley has sold or otherwise disposed of £540:15:11 current money of the Island, part of the inventory of the estate, and £521:17:7 1/2 part of the additional inventory never appraised, cash from the Treasurer in part of the country's present to his excellency, and rent from Christopher Favell, having applied them to his own use; further that he detains several jewels and toys of gold valued at £274. They give him credit for £425:1:1 1/2 . He is therefore debtor for £637:12:5 besides the jewels and toys, and if they are not returned for a further £274. A certificate that the commissioners made oath as to the truth of the above report before Francis Bond, president of the council. No. 1 on the list at no.505.
