Settlement on the marriage of Thomas Ferrers of Baddesley Clinton esq., to Margaret Kempson, daughter of John Kempson of Henley-in-Arden, gentleman, being a conveyance by lease and release from Thomas Ferrers to trustees (Thomas Rawlins of Pophills, gentleman, John Holyoak of Morton Baggott, gentleman, Thomas Fetherston Leigh of Packwood, esquire and William Shakespeare of Knowle, gentleman) for £3,000 paid as a marriage portion, of messuages and lands in Baddesley Clinton and Rowington in the tenure of John Grimett, the manor house with lands in Kingswood in the tenure of John Weetman, a messuage in Baddesley Clinton in the tenure of Elijah Bradbury called the White House and various other messuages and parcels of land (described) in Rowington and Baddesley Clinton, to hold to the use of Thomas Ferrers for life with remainder to Margaret Kempson, should she survive him and then to their eldest son in tail male, and to raise £2,000 as portions for their younger sons and daughters.
