Mason Family; Lease, Cranfield to Mason

Description

Lease for 99 years for a consideration of £3-10/- per annum between Lionel Cranfield Sackville, Duke of Dorset on the first part and Thomas Mason of the Inner Temple, London on the second part. Property: messuage and little garden now divided into three little dwellings with appertinances in Old Stratford abutted by land late of William Combs, now of Bartlett Mason; the Church Way lane; the River Avon and a wall and pale mound belonging to a coal yard of the said Thomas Mason to lands of arrable in Common Fields regarding, one in Welcome Hill furlong, one in broad meere furlong, two in guild pitts field furlong, two in Marlebrooke furlong, one leg of Green Sword Ground in the ham. Recital: lease, Charles Earl of Dorset to William Southern and that by several mesuages assigned the premises are now legally vested in the said Thomas Mason and that the said Thomas Mason has requester the said Lionel to exchange to three lives in the original lease for three other lives to which end the said Thomas has surrendered the original lease.
