Poems for Shakespeare: The following poets have recently been commissioned by the Globe Playhouse Trust to write a poem in honour of Shakespeare: George Barker, Thomas Blackburn, Richard Burns, Donald Davie, Patric Dickinson, Elaine Feinstein, Elizabeth Jennings, Brendan Kennelly, John Montague, Edwin Morgan, A.L. Rowse, Iain Crichton Smith, D.M. Thomas, Charles Tomlinson and John Wain. The first public readings of their poems will be given on this occasion. In most cases the poets themselves will be present to read their poems and a small selection of their work. The programme will be introduced by Roger Pringle. No programme issued.
