History of the old manor house of Wood Bevington in the parish of Salford Priors

Owned by Philip B Chatwin, whose signature in pencil appears on the inside. Beside it is stuck in a newspaper cutting from the 'Birmingham Post', 7 July 1925 concerning the Benedictine nuns of Stanbrook Abbey, who had been previuosly based at Salford Hall. Loosely inserted inside the brown paper cover is a letter, dated 2 December 1938 from Major General Sir Ernest Orton, Guildford, Surrey to Philip B Chatwin, Birmingham asking for information about a family named Bevington, and any link with Wood Bevington. He includes genealogical information on the family who are maternal ancestors
