The tempest / A play by William Shakespeare ; translated into Marathi by Nilkant Janardan Kirtane.

Nilkant Janardan Kirtane translated The Tempest into Marathi in 1875 and published it in Bombay, and it could be purchased for one rupee. Nilkant Janardan Kirtane had previously written a publication called "A Review of Grant Duff's History of the Marathas", which is promoted on the title page. In the dedication, the translator writes: "To Sir H.D Daly, KCB., Agents Governor for Central India, in token of deep respect for his great zeal and endeavours in the education and welfare of the princes under his charge, this translation is most humbly dedicated with his permission, by The Translator."
