Cristallo glass wine bowl

Description

A cristallo, or crystal glass, wine bowl with diamond point engraving and latticinio. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust's 1868 Catalogue describes it as 'an elegant Venetian glass bowl of the Shakespearian period'. The bowl was most probably made in Venice in the late 1500s or early 1600s.
