Baby's cradle

Description

A baby's cradle, probably about 1680; the moulded rectangular top now split and hinged; the panelled superstructure at the head end carved and initialled BK and HB; the panelled body carved with rosettes and diamonds and raised on shaped rockers; English, South Yorkshire; considerable restoration including rear plank of top, sections of panels, later carving; new base-boards; head rocker replaced; generally refinished.
