Mural cupboard

Description

A late seventeenth-century oak mural cupboard; the rectangular multi-boarded top edged with a moulded cornice carved with dentils; the upper compartment with panels of spindles to side and front, the front with conforming central door; the lower compartment enclosed with panels inlaid with diamond to the front and interlace to the sides and with conforming central door; the entire framework inlaid with zig-zag parquetry bands above a deep base moulding; English, Yorkshire, about 1680; hinges and one backboard replaced.
