Description

A framed print of a map of the Crab Tree and the surrounding area, including the villages mentioned in a piece of apocryphal verse, with whose inhabitants Shakespeare reputedly had a drinking competition, falling asleep under the aforementioned Crab Tree: 'Piping Pebworth, Dancing Marston,/Haunted Hillboro, Hungry Grafton,/Dodging Exhall, Papist Wixford,/Beggarly Broom and Drunken Bidford.'
