Hathaway Dresser

Description

The base of the dresser had a two-plank rectangular moulded top above heavy top moulding; fitted with three drawers, each with an applied central muntin flanked by applied mouldings and above a heavy base moulding; raised on three heavy baluster-turned front legs with shaped spandrels and turned ball feet. Shelves: the three related plate shelves fronted with an applied face moulding and base board; English, c.1700; spandrels to centre leg missing; short section of drawer-moulding, key plate to right hand drawer and all handles missing; shelf now lacking cornice.
