Description

A Tuscan albarello, about 1500; painted waist with drug name within border of gothic foliage; white background, light and dark blue, yellow and ochre decoration; lettering TREFERA.MAG.S.O. (meaning trifera the greater without opium - an electuary) blue on yellow; paint and glaze chipped, base damaged.
