Bedstead
Description
The plain tester-rails link four stop-chamfered posts; the head with two-plank headboard and pierced stock rail; the foot posts linked by a foot rail and longer side rails; all feet stop-chamfered; the tester rails supplemented with iron rails and hooks for curtains; now fitted with yellow woollen curtains and with associated rush mat (SBT 1993-31/660a) ; English, c.1575-1650; tester-rails replaced; some nails and nail-holes to upper parts of posts.
