Description

A 17th century cockfighting chair; triangular seat with red velvet cushion; turned front posts; centre back post supporting back rail surmounted by 13 bobbins; seat supported by uprights to stretchers, 2 at front and 1 each side; 2 'arms' at each side; condition fair, some worm in seat strut, right arm/top rail loose from front post; lower rail loose from post; bobbins on back rail (9th and 12th from left) are rough and unpolished.
