Description

Infant's dress, c. 1880-1920. Infant's dress or long-gown, made from white cotton. Gown has centre-back opening, fastening with drawstring at neck and waist; bodice front decorated with white-work embroidery and drawn thread work. Lower part of skirt is decorated with bands of pintucks, white-work embroidery and drawn thread work. (From the Staite family of Perry Barr, Birmingham.)
