Cauldron

Description

Cauldron, c. 1480-1520. Cauldron of copper-alloy; late 15th/early 16th century; three short legs, two sharply angled ear lugs, with iron corrosion deposits (the remains of a wrought-iron bail handle). According to Roderick Butler, style suggests this cauldron continental in origin, specifically, lug handles horizontal and feet widely angled from under body.
