Description

Deed box, c. 1550-1600. Sixteenth century deed box belonging to Stratford Corporation; handwritten contents notes on box lid and inscribed 'the ffeoffmente of Ralfe Lordes close'; 'Mr. Turner his deed of feofmente for Lawrence Holmes his howse in Woodstreete'; 'The deeds with the Bayliffe and Burgisses War[wick] about Mr. Ockens mony 40 li.'; 'Mr. Parrats agreement with the Company.'; ' The deeds for the 3s. anuetie in Symon biddells howse; and the deeds for the Guylde house.'
