Shakespeare Quatercentenary medal

Description

A medal struck to commemorate the four hundredth anniversary in 1964 of Shakespeare's birth. Designed by Paul Vincze for retail by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. One of four medals recovered from the fire at Anne Hathaway's Cottage in 1969. Part of a collection of items formerly in the possession of Dr. Levi Fox, Director of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust 1945-1989.
