Sherd from an earthenware vessel

Description

An earthenware sherd, possibly from a storage vessel. It is part of the lip and upper body of the vessel. Possibly from the same vessel as 2011-6/3. It was found by the donor's father who was the foreman during building works that were being carried out behind Hornby Cottage in 1958., The donor has written on the entry form the following - In 1958 (the date is inscribed on the pottery) building work was being carried out behind the building now the shop, once the Records Office. A trench ran behind the building and was visible from the passage that runs past the public library towards the Birmingham Road. The work was done by D J Dyer, builders, and my father was foreman. The finds included a ceramic cresset lamp, a wig curler, and some staff(ordshire) combed ware, which was deposited c.1962 in Warwick County Museum.
