plaque - Henry IV Part 2

Description

Commemorative plaque designed and created by Paul Vincze, showing a scene from Henry IV Part 2. Commissioned by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Only the obverse of the plaque is decorated; King Henry IV on his deathbed and Prince Hal taking the crown. One of 40 commemorative plaques uncovered behind a wall when the Shakespeare Centre's 'Life, Love and Legacy' exhibition was de-installed in January 2014. The 36 plaques depicting scenes from Shakespeare's plays were redisplayed in the new 'Famous Beyond Words' exhibition, behind the First Folio display case.
