Description

A 12-inch vinyl LP record in original sleeve with 12 p. illustrated booklet enclosed. The record sleeve reproduces the poster of the Shakespeare Exhibition design by Australian artist Sidney Nolan (1917-1992).

Devised and directed by George Rylans, recorded in association with The Shakespeare Exhibition 1564-1964. Chairman: I. Jack Lyons; Deputy Chairman: The Earl of Hardwood; Artistic Director: Richard Buckle. Supervised and edited by Harley Usill. Music directed by Andrew Raeburn. This record was sold by W.H. Smith & Son to accompany The Shakespeare Exhibition 1564-1964; this exhibition toured Stratford-upon-Avon, Edinburgh, and London in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth.
