Description

An oak panel-back armchair; the scrolled cresting rail carved with volutes and rosettes with lunette centre, above a single panel incised with a rectangle within a diamond (the inlay now missing); the shaped arms supported on baluster-turned and fluted supports; the single-plank seat with moulded edge on nulled front and moulded side rails; raised on baluster-turned, reeded and fluted legs with moulded stretchers; constructed in modern times using some old components, and with later carving; evidence of fire and water damage.
