19th century ceramic bowl,heavily crazed; white glaze with, on the outside, medallion portraits of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and La Fayette, together with a device bearing the phrase 'Republicans are not always ungrateful' around the American Eagle, interspersed with floral sprays. Inside the bowl, a picture of the Shipwright's Arms.
