Gateleg table

Description

A late 17th century oak gateleg table; the two-plank top with multi-plank falling leaves forming an oval; raised on complex turned legs with moulded stretchers and conforming gates; English, c.1700; both leaves re-tipped and top reshaped; one long stretcher and all feet replaced; both drawers missing. Catalogue description by Victor Chinnery.
