Brass weight; 8 oz. One of 8 made by M. de Grave and Son, London and contained in a conical sharkskin case. Marked 'Borough of Stratford-upon-Avon'. Purchased by the Corporation in conformity with the Weights and Measures Act 1824., There were originally 9 in the set but the 1/2 dram was recorded by F. Wellstood in 1940 as being lost.
