Dress Coat owned by George Lucy

Description

A dress coat thought to have been worn by George Lucy (1714-1786) at the Garrick Jubilee of 1769 in Stratford-upon-Avon. Maroon wool with applied silver lace edging, two pockets, lined with cream coloured silk. Part of a suit of clothes with L2018-1/2 and L2018-1/3.
