Description

SMOKE JACK, heat and air driven, operated by eight-paddled fan in the chimney which turns three wheels which drive two chains running from within the chimney down to the spit; FORK SPIT, with two large forked prongs; BASKET SPIT, rectangular frame with round four-barred basket in centre; top and bottom of basket are removable and adjustabnle by long-handled scew for placing carcase in basket for roasting; both spits with disk at each end, wooden with iron reinforcements, grooved to take turning chains; wooden disks slightly cracked; one prong of spit dog broken.
