Greg Wyatt: Sculptor

Greg Wyatt has created a series of bronze sculptures displayed in the Great Garden at Shakespeare's New Place, Stratford-upon-Avon.

One sculpture focusses on Lear and the Fool in 'King Lear' Act 3 Scene 2. Lear is an old man on the edge of madness, railing in a storm while the Fool pleads with him to take shelter. To create his Lear, Greg Wyatt stripped away the skin to ‘… heighten the artistry and portrayal of withered, weakened, and raw humanity.
