Two joining parts of a circular weight made from vesicular limestone. This was used on a wrap weighted loom, upon which cloth was made. This example would have been one of a number which hung from the threads on the loom frame to keep them taught while being woven into cloths. The recovery of this confirms the production of cloth within the house, one of the numerous roles traditionally undertaken by women.
