Flint Scraper (Neolithic c.4000 BC to 2400BC) (Context 7070, Season 3)

One of several flints recovered from the site. The finest example of worked flint was this bifacially worked disc-shaped knife or scraper. These stone tools had a multitude of uses but were primarily used for butchery. Their presence, suggests that Stratford-upon-Avon was a settlement by this early period.
