Halls Croft Close Stool

A late 17th century oak close stool; the rectangular moulded lid raised on a deep moulding and hinged to the rear; the base compartment with deep moulded and carved side rails; raised on short flattened ball-turned legs with moulded stretchers and turned feet; English, c.1680; upper and lower applied mouldings missing from base compartment.
