What do you do to make yourself feel calm and relaxed? How do you manage to ‘still your beating mind’? For Shakespeare Week 2022 we invited children to think about their physical wellbeing and consider how being active is good for your mind as well as your body!

To inspire children we asked several well-known children’s figures including children’s author and poet, Michael Rosen, children’s television presenter Ben Cajee and children’s author and illustrator, Marcia Williams to consider their physical and emotional wellbeing by responding to the famous Shakespeare quote from The Tempest:

"...a turn or two I’ll walk, To still my beating mind"

You can see their creative responses and those of other children’s celebrities in our online exhibition as well as the winners of the 2022 competition and a selection of the highly commended children’s entries.
