“I am Jyena. I am 10 years-old. I like arts and crafts, playing different musical instruments and playing team sports. I like exploring different ways of creating artwork using a variety of apps. I also like riding my bike and reading."

About my creative response

“I chose to make this picture because it was a mixture of computing and art skills both of which I really enjoy. I wanted my picture to have both Shakespeare and my thoughts on being true to yourself on it and this is what I created using different apps.”

 

When have you been ‘true to yourself’?

“I was ‘true to myself’ when I was the only girl who chose basketball over gymnastics at school. All my friends chose gymnastics, but as I had already tried and didn’t enjoy gymnastics in the past, I stayed ‘true to myself’ and stuck to my choice and I had a great time!” 

 

What is your favourite Shakespeare play?

“My favourite Shakespeare play is The Tempest. It was the first Shakespeare play I read and watched. It is about magic, betrayal, love and forgiveness. This play was captivating and made me want to read more plays by Shakespeare.”
